Today (March 24) was the very first Yeovil Model Show. This event has no connection with the regular and very successful model show that used to be held at RNAS Yeovilton and which very sadly was recently killed off by the people from the Royal Navy museums service in Portsmouth who now apparently run the Yeovilton museum. Anyway the Yeovil show was a great success, and the organiser (Ken Bugler) and his staff must be congratulated. Among the participants was the Poole Vikings Model Club, with our excellent display stand and selection of models. Five of us attended in total, and some images of the club stand are included here. Among the models that I displayed were several of my Dad’s 1/72 scale Westland Lysanders, which is appropriate because the Lysander was made by Westland in Yeovil.
